The elearning course is aimed at those who are new to internal audit in financial services and those in jurisdictions which are beginning to embrace the concept as they move from a more traditional “tick and bash” approach.
The elearning course starts by discussing the philosophy of a risk based approach to internal audit and then moves on to explain how to plan and control an audit and identify risks in financial services. There is a focus on the IIA Code and how it affects the internal auditor, the preparation and structure of workpapers and basic interview techniques. It concludes with a review of Root Cause Analysis and reviews the best way to pull together the issues that have been found and suggests a methodology on how to prepare a report.
This elearning course does not have a built in knowledge check, but a certificate of completion can be provided for CPD purposes.
